Housing - General Information

Brazeau Foundation manages several types of housing which include 

Senior Self-contained (Apt Style) units in Drayton Valley and Breton, Alberta.  

Wishing Well, Lezure Lea and Spruce View Court (Breton) consist of one bedroom units which include a fridge, stove, heat, water and garbage removal are included in the rent. 

There are additional fees for cable, telephone, electricity and parking. 

Laundry facilities are available on site. 

As per Social Housing Accommodation Regulation 244/1994, monthly rent is calculated at 30% of a tenant's gross monthly. 

Income and rental rates are reviewed annually.  

Tenants must be able to live independently or have their own support services in place.

Services, such as housekeeping, meal preparation, and help with medications are not provided.

• Shangri La Lodge supplies housing for independent seniors with services. Services include 3 home cooked meals, afternoon and evening snacks, weekly housekeeping, linen laundry and recreational activities.  Shangri La Lodge offers one bedrooms and studio suites. Rates are reviewed annually. 
• 24 hour staffing.  
• Access to nursing, personal care, and medication assistance through AHS Home Care.  
• Secure Building with 24 Hour Security, Video Surveillance, 
• Emergency Call System, Smoke Detectors.  
• Residential Laundry Services.  
• All basic utilities included  and cable are included. 
• Personal Laundry Services Provided for an additional monthly charge.  
• Fitness Room, 
• Hair Salon,
• Library 
• Parking Available at Monthly Rate  

Shangri La Lodge is smoke free, following the provincial legislation regarding smoking, outdoor smoking areas are available.
